tiny desk

The end of the year is almost here, a time for reflection, celebration and a start of new beginnings. Around this time last year i set out goals that i wanted to achieve during the course of the new year.
It turns out I'm nowhere near where I thought I'd be, which is really frustrating. But honestly, I’ve got no one to blame but myself. So as a sort of self-punishment, I’m writing this blog post to figure out exactly what went wrong.
| 2025 main goals | Status |
|---|---|
| Build a digital product and reach $1k mrr per month | ❌ |
| Start a YouTube channel and reach 1k subscribers | ❌ |
| Learn to play guitar and reach intermediate level | ❌ |
| Learn to write screenplays for short films | ❌ |
| Write and produce 12 songs | ❌ |
film, music and tech
The internet has changed the world and location is no longer our master. Anybody can now build something and reach people worldwide. Be it a song, a film or an app that solves a particular problem.
You can build almost anything from a minimal setup (tiny desk) today. That's what I set out to prove at the start of this year.
and then i failed
First, I built an ecommerce site for custom gifts but focused on payment systems instead of finding customers. Then I taught myself guitar until barre chords stopped me cold.
And on and on... every project followed the same pattern: start excited, quit when it got difficult.
The brain is sturbbornly wired to resist change, even good change.
now what?!
Now, the goal is simple: learn the fundamentals, study the greats, become greater. Let's see what happens in a year.
